About Me

My name is Derek Munyon.  I'm a junior at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  I'm currently
working toward my Bachelor's Degree in Journalism with a focus in News Editorial.  I have a passion
for writing and like to do it in my free time.  I do everything from journalistic writing and short fiction to scripts.  I’m a hard worker who always gets his work done as quickly and thoroughly as possible, while never sacrificing quality. I’m looking for a position that will challenge my intellect as well as my skills.  I’ve spent years working in retail positions and learned how to work well with customers and clients.  I feel like I would be an excellent addition to any organization and I would certainly rise to any challenge presented.

·      In my free time, I do a lot of writing.  I like to write short fiction and have submitted stories to different literary magazines.  I do journalistic writing in my free time also, blogging and writing for a local, non-profit, online music magazine called Hear Nebraska.
