Interview Example with Audio

This is another story I wrote for Hear Nebraska.  I wrote the intro and recorded the audio interview with a Blue Snowball USB mic and the recording software on my Mac.  This is another piece that I'm happy to have done because it allowed me to work in a medium outside of writing.  It's intended for anyone who is interested in local music and events.  The original Hear Nebraska post can be found here.  http://www.hearnebraska.org/content/will-simons-thunder-power-omahype-audio-qa

I showed up at Blue Line Coffee in Dundee a few minutes before 6:30 p.m.  It was a fairly comfortable Tuesday afternoon, and I was on a mission: to interview Will Simons ofThunder Power and Omahype.
There were a number of little things that could have gone wrong: a barista with a severe case of ennui (I think there's a cream for that), a man yelling at an elderly couple to come join the class of 1916 for dinner (we can reminisce about The Great War), various cars powering down the street and people on cell phones. Despite all of this, the interview went over quite well and the audio ended up sounding pretty good. Listen for yourself here, and listen to Thunder Power on Saturday at Duffy's in Lincoln as part of the Maha/HN free showcase starting at 8 p.m. and headlined by Eli Mardock:
